We have furnished the Cottage throughout in a rustic style in keeping with the age of the property but not at the expense of modern facilities.
Hopefully you will find everything you would have in your own home: central heating and open fires, washing machine, dish washer, TV & Hi Fi, microwave, Rayburn cooker and electric oven, wireless broadband etc etc.

The dining area is the hub of the house - a large country pine table, which can seat ten, dominates the centre of the room whilst an old kitchen range with an open fire provides a focal point.
Cooking centres around the Rayburn (the oil fired burner which supplies all the hot water, heating and cooking facilities) although there is an additional electric hob alongside - plus a microwave oven. For those not used to the joys of cooking on Rayburns or Agas - a treat is in store. All cookware is supplied, of course, and for those with aspirations in the kitchen you may find it hard to leave.

The rear garden is mainly lawn and fruit trees sloping down to the River Aln, which flows through the bottom of our property. (Fishing rights have to be individually negotiated with the lord of the manor - Lord Ravensworth at Eslington).
This is NOT a cottage which has been equipped with the sole intention of holiday letting. This is our home and we have chosen all the equipment and fittings to suit. We have not skimped on the finish - you will find all that you would expect in your own home. From the washing machine to the cutlery and from the dishwasher to the crockery, everything is of first class quality.
